FAQ
Everything you need to know about your dip nails — from application tips to removal.
Tips & Tricks
- Avoid water exposure for at least 1 hour before application. Absorbed water expands the nail bed — when it contracts back, the powder can crack. Prep Liquid is essential for this: it dries out the nail bed completely before you start.
- At the Seal Liquid step (Step 4), apply generously and let it dry completely before filing & buffing. Seal solidifies the powder onto your nails — the more thoroughly it cures, the less chance of cracking.
- Add a clear powder layer for extra strength. Apply it once before dipping into colour and once after. Double clear = double durability.
- Try the apex method: apply the final colour coat over the entire nail, paying extra attention to the cuticle area and side edges. This builds a solid foundation from the center outward and prevents cracks at the edges.
Apply first coat of Shine → wait 1 min (half dry) → apply second coat → air dry 3–4 mins.
Avoid dish soap and detergents to maintain the shine for longer.
Massively. No UV light, 30+ day wear, salon results at home — that's why millions have switched. Google it, Reddit it, YouTube it.
Liquids & Kit Questions
May be, but only briefly. Normal if your nail bed is thin or skin got slightly filed and the seal liquid has touched the skin. Settles in seconds.
No. Shine air-dries. Gel topcoats need UV/LED light. Needs no lamp — ever.
Yes. Apply only on the nail plate. Avoid skin contact — wipe off immediately if it touches skin.
It requires professional training. We've included a Cuticle Presser instead — safer, easier, no practice needed.
Alcohol swabs (common at home) can work as a substitute. Filing also naturally removes nail oils, which partially preps the nail.
Yes — Seal and Prep especially contain alcohol. Store in a cool, enclosed space. Keep away from heat and sunlight.

It stays for 30 days and in case you want to remove sooner – you can visit a nail tech. Post 30 days, it should come off naturally.

Everything we stand for — convenience, easy application, cost-effective, UV/LED-free, travel friendly, self-indulgent, TPO-free — is about you being in control. That includes removal too.
After trying the kit, you can remove your nails whenever you want — immediately or 3 weeks later. That's completely on you and at your convenience. It depends on how long your nails have grown and when you feel ready.
Not ready to remove? Consider doing dip refills from home instead of a full removal. Check our how-to video on Instagram.
The nail technique when drilling should never drill down to your natural nail bed. A thin layer of the base/glue coat + colour (about 10%) always remains on your natural nails.
This is actually a good thing — that thin layer of base/glue protects your natural nails and is literally made up of the same material as your nails.
Less drama. No thinning of the nail bed. Healthier nails in the long run.
Dip nails are designed to fit into your life — not the other way around. Apply at home, refill when needed, and remove on your own terms.
Product Questions
Yes. Dip powder is acrylic and it is heavier than gel polish — and therefore the thickness is prime salon finish.
Yes. The dip powder can have the tendency to crack for a couple of reasons:
- If the nail bed is not prepped well with the filer.
- If you have dipped only once. Dip nails have to be dipped at least 2 times to prevent premature cracking.
- Extensive housework can lead to cracking.
To avoid premature cracking — prepare the natural nails with a proper rough texture using the nail filer provided in the kit. Additionally, try using the clear powder, which yields an additional layer to the powder and prevents potential cracking.
If cracking appears — you can file the nail colour down, dip it back into the powder, and redo your dipped nails at your own convenience.
One of the primary reasons to choose dip nails over gel nails is that it avoids UV / LED light. Overall the entire kit is also more value for money than a single salon visit for nails. It is long lasting and convenient because it's DIY.
The powder sticks where the glue goes. If powder sticks to your skin, that means glue was present there. If this happens, use the stainless steel presser to remove the powder from the skin before it dries out.
Yes, the powders are highly pigmented — that's how they yield high-impact colour on the nails. After the dip process, wash your hands with soap and water and the stains should lift. Your fingers also naturally produce oils that will abrade the colour away within a couple of hours.
Absolutely! File your natural nails to create a rough texture, then apply glue and stick the extensions onto your natural nails. After that, apply glue on the extension and dip in the powder. That's it — press-ons are made.
Apply glue on one nail, then dip in the coloured powder immediately. Apply glue on the next nail and dip again. Continue until all nails are finished with the first coat.
Once the first coat is complete, kick off the second coat: apply glue on top of the first coat of dipped nails, then dip in the powder again. Continue until all nails are finished with the second coat.
